Broke Girl /// Big Dreams

J.Crew is seriously catching my eye these days ... Unfortunately, the $prices$ on it would KILL my bank account. But hey, a girl can dream right?!

I recently started working in a Law firm and officially became a certified Paralegal <3 Dream.Come.True.

With my new career, I feel like I need a whole new wardrobe to match... Time to step out of my "i work in retail" days and into "i work in an office" days.  Looks like i'll start my Hanukkah/Christmas list early this year !

Halloween Throwback

Halloween is right around the corner. New year / New Costumes <3 Derek and I have done couples costumes since we started dating. He HATES wearing the face make-up and since he has dealt with it for the past 2 Halloweens I decided to let him pick out our costumes this year.  I was nervous at first but he did a fantastic job...it's a secret for now - but until then here is a throwback of the last few years ...

The Pumpkin Patch

Derek and I devoted this weekend to Halloween <3 

Friday night we went to the Pumpkin Patch with our friends Matt and Courtney.  It was my first time since I was a little girl going to a pumpkin patch and it was SO fun! Although I HATE being scared and I am deathly afraid of masks, I decided to suck it up and go through the Haunted Corn Maze (not a good idea). I closed my eyes and held on to Derek's arm so tight he lost feeling as we went through the longest hour of my life 10 minute corn maze.  After, we stopped and had some Funnel Cake and Pink Lemonade.

Saturday we decided to get our Halloween costumes! The Best!! Every year we do couples costumes - Bee & Beekeeper, Dorothy & Scarecrow, Smurf-ette & Papa-Smurf ...  This year is was Derek's turn to pick!!  After picking out our AMAZING costumes - we decided to decorate the Derek's (soon to be OUR) house. We put up goofy eyes on the doors, orange lights, ghost lights, and skulls by the fireplace.  We ended the night by carving our Pumpkins and roasting the seeds. Perfect Saturday <3

L.A. Weather

What is with this HEAT?! It's OCTOBER!! L.A. is having another heat wave and I am NOT happy about it.  Don't get me wrong...i love summer... but i LOVE my scarves and boots and coats... My boyfriend (Derek <3) thinks my huge collection/obsession with scarves is crazy... but you can seriously never have too many!!! I'm ready for it to finally cool down <3

Formula Drift

Yesterday I spent the day at the Formula Drift event at Irwindale Speedway ((SO FUN!!)) with my boyfriend//my love//my everything Derek, his family, and friends.  We had trackside seats so we were right.in.the.action.  The smoke and rubber from the tires are literally right in your face (bandanas covering your face is a MUST!)

Derek and I have been to events before, but this time we got to invite Amber (my double-A, partner.in.crime, twin, my work girlfriend you'll hear her name a lot) and her boyfriend Dennis... Drift event Virgins! Its so fun seeing the excitement in their faces when the cars FLY by.
